Read the superb novel, if you believe the negative reviews, youโll miss a wonderful movie. The emotional highs and lows bring awareness to many of lifeโs struggles, and it made me appreciate the life Iโve had. This movie is being praised more by females than by males, because it shows a rape scene as well as an abusive, alcoholic father and because itโs not Top Gun excitement. The story and the setting are beautiful throughout and the ending is appropriate to the story. This is one if the best movies Iโve ever seen.
