Terrible addition to this saga in general. I know it says "Rebirth" in the title, but this is barely Jurassic World at all. The characters are shallow and show no development at all, the character deaths are expected and honestly, it feels that as soon as the characters didn't serve the plot, they were killed. The protagonist's main motivation is money. That's how bad this is. For my raptor lovers: the raptors get aprox. 30 seconds screentime. The 2 separate storylines add nothing to the other. Hell, the thing is set 30 something years later!!! There isn't any real threat, except for immediate danger. Plot? You wish that saved this movie but nooooo there is none. There are maybe 2 minutes to explain why they were risking their lives and it doesn't even make sense. If you wanna figure out how these things' hearts work, then their blood isn't gonna give you answers! And the egg??? That's even worse!!! The distortus rex only comes in at the absolute end of the movie, and tbh the "Big scary genetically modified monster" trope is too overused. Tl;dr: watch a 10 minute summary of the movie. You won't miss a single thing.

I've never been a fan marvel: let's start there. I've never read the comics, didn't even watch the first movie. This is my first introduction to the Fantastic Four. Take this as an outsider's review. (I made sure to make this spoiler free it you haven't watched the movie!) Let's begin with the narrative. The pacing was good! The first scene, while not how you'd usually begin a story, was a unique way to make the audience grow closer to the characters than to their abilities. The action doesn't feel forced once it begins, the introduction and rising action transition smoothly. The amount of times Galactus actually appears I can count on my fingers, but that is enough to show him as a real threat. The... silver surfer I believe she's called? She's more than a threat in and of herself, which only makes her backstory's reveal all the more shocking. In my humble opinion, her storyline was handled excelently. That scene towards the end with the recordings? Chills. That mixed with the extraordinary, retrofuturistic setting, the fantastic (pun intended) soundtrack, and overall great protrayal of each character create a deep and immersive story for people of all ages to enjoy. If you haven't watched the movie, I certainly reccomend you give it a shot! It is quite refreshing and hobestly, a step in the right direction for Marvel. SPOILER ALERT!!!!! My only complaint is the baby bringing Sue from the dead. It felt forced, didn't really add any shock value and has gotten too old at this point. Wasn't it easier to not kill her in the first place? But tjat aside, great movie in general.
