This is not your typical Colleen Hoover book. I love all the other ones I’ve read, however, this one was such a disappointment.
Some parts made it a bit interesting and seemed like it was building up to something…but then there was nothing more there. The premise and plot line was just weird and frankly not believable whatsoever. It felt amateur and I debated whether I should stop reading it because I kept rolling my eyes by all the corny and impractical situations. I know a few people are saying it was good because it was a love story, and proves fate, etc., but it was so unrealistic and all over the place. There were random twists just thrown in at times which made it feel like such a disconnect.
I like a great love story, but this was absolutely not one.
I wouldn’t waste your time on it. I hate being disappointed when I reach the end of a book and feel like I wasted my time and needed more. This one didn’t have that feel of a dramatic and/or satisfying ending. Instead it made me annoyed at what I just read. I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought I’d share my opinion on this one. I’ll definitely try more of her books, but this one just left a bad impression. Maybe it was the collab?
