Dear sirs, I must write to complain about Carol Malone in the strongest terms. Every time anything to do with Scottish politics she talks the most utter nonsense. She always talks about how it is too small, too poor, has no money and is in debt to billions. In a previous show she commented that Scotland doesn't have anything but Whisky and a Loch Ness Monster: So Let's take a look at these for instance: Food production: Lamb; Beef, soft fruit, seed potato, Whisky. Fishing, the largest in the UK. Oil , gas production: Forestry. Tourism. Scotland has a normal balanced economy like most other small countries in Europe. Except we have more natural resources than most of them. She talks about our debt which cannot be true, we get apportioned 8.5 of Britain's debt that we didn't get any benefit from HS2 from London to Birmingham: What good is that to Scotland. Nuclear weapons. We don't want them, don't need them. Billions spent on The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle. The list goes on. Scotland gets the Barnett Formula, so we cannot over spend what we don't get. We get a portion of the money back we pay in tax, the rest goes to the treasury in Westminster not Scotland.
