We all live through our lives experiencing people, events and things that go around us. We feel them, judge them and then go about our ways, however, Ashutosh took out time and wrote about people and events that he met in his life, at work or at home. While reading they find a place in our heart too, since the stories are about people that we see everywhere. When we read them there is a feeling like “this happened with me too” or “oh, I went through the same” or “ditto” and that makes them so relatable and convincing. He brings out the nuances of day-to-day living with his lucid writing style and honest approach towards life.
The stories are divided in three parts, intense, funny and inspirational and they all are interesting and engaging while handling varied issues. His vast experience as a cricketeer, banker and lawyer reflects in his stories. After reading all the stories (or real-life incidents) I felt that he has a wonderful ability of connecting with people, which is an important factor for a writer. The humanitarian approach towards life and the happenings have given him this ‘extra’ ability to document what even others have seen but not felt or expressed. To understand the variety of people and their emotions that he has addressed, the book is a must read!
