The movie doesn’t know if wants to be a psychological thriller or supernatural horror. It ends up only giving a mediocre effort at both. At surface level, it has everything the genres need but it never makes those elements interesting. No amount of slick visuals or sound design will matter if the characters and story have no depth. I usually don’t bother leaving reviews online but this movie and its marketing angered me so much I had to. The marketing hype was ridiculous and you gotta wonder if it’s because they knew it was bad and needed to hype people hard to fill seats.
