Bad acting, poor plot execution, and lazy writing

Worth the ticket price and worth buying when it becomes available. Great nods to the original in both subtle and non-subtle ways. Great pace from start to finish. You'll think you know what's coming and it will take an unexpected, and delightful turn. Tom Cruise does a magnificent job along with his costar Miles Teller in making this film the best of the summer. Great for family, great for a date night, and just a well done film with jaw dropping visuals, well directed scenes, and a cast that gives you everything you want and nothing that you don't.

This was not a fault of the cast. The actors did the best they could with what they were given. There were very good, but the direction of the film was disappointing and underwhelming. If you really want to see it, I would wait for it to be available to rent. This is not a film to buy or pay theater price for. I know Jordan Peele will bounce back from this, but I cannot recommend this movie.

Very accurate to the book. The cast does a wonderful job to capture each character the way they were written and the director clearly agonized over every detail. If you haven't read the book, this story is one of brilliant resilience, of love, of second chances, and the strength of womanhood that we so often overlook. We all can relate to this story in some way, and I hope you give this film a chance and the book as well if you're a reader.

Fun movie with good pace. Worth going to see. Christian Bale did a phenomenal job with his role, and the rest of the cast played their parts well. We met some new characters that we will see again in the next film, and got to recapture some story lines from previous Thor movies that needed some revisiting. Good family movie and a good addition to the Thor series and marvel franchise.
