Absolutely incredible book!! I love how the romance develops making you want the characters together even more as they learn to move on and change not just for one another but as they learn new things. The side characters are well developed as well and make you enjoy the story even more! Usually split perspective is not my favorite but brilliant Kiera Cass makes it addictive to flip between their lives and see how they feel as the other acts and reacts. The quick and witty writing keeps you interested from the first sentence to the last and makes every character deep and clear. Enemies to lovers is hard to write since this trope can be overused and cliche but Kiera Cass writes it realistically in a fantasy setting and makes you fall in love with the couple both together and as individuals. I can’t stop thinking about this book since I read it and I want to pick it up again a million times over. I thought The Selection series by the same author was brilliant but A Thousand Heartbeats was everything The Selection was and more!!! I’m obsessed! 😍 I can’t recommend it enough. Read it, trust me.
