Mom of 4 and Mary Poppins Fan I was hesitant to get my hopes up, but I thoroughly enjoyed Mary Poppins Returns. Her initial entrance and intro to the movie was a tiny bit disappointing, but definitely turned around as the movie progressed. Disney did not disappoint. The set was almost identical, with enhanced cinematography (obviously). The cast and talents were excellent. The new music was catchy and in line with the original flavor. I did miss Julie Andrews, but who didnt? The biggest hurdle was maybe more of a generational one. Modern Mary Poppins was more edgy and verged on snippy. That surprised me and was slightly off-putting. It may fit with today's way of interacting with children more accurately, but seemed out of character for Mary Poppins. My five year-old thought it was too long. My 16 and 6 year-olds were engaged and enjoyed it, even though they really wanted to see The Grinch. 😉 All in all, it was an excellent movie to this Mary Poppins fan. Go see it. I'll definitely buy it and add it to my collection. I'll rate it like my son and say it was about an 8.5. Enjoy!

I loved this! It was better than the Lego Movie. I love a good Disney princess movie, but with two young boys, we dont see much of that. This was just lots of fun to watch with my little guys and even my 14 year-old son.
