Utterly shit tv, with what must be the most nauseating musical dance intro ever. Comparisons with White Lotus, Big Little Lies and Glass Onion are an insult. Screenplay: Apart from the main cop, every character is a one dimensional joke. Nothing is remotely believable or plausible. I can suspend disbelief but only if there’s a pay off. Here, it just doesn’t hang. Plot lines are established and just dropped for no reason. Characters seem to have amnesia about what happened literally the day before. The writing is so poor it feels like it would be hard to make it this bad. Acting: Kidman is awful, as are most of the cast aside from Champlin. Production: There are clunky flashbacks, pointless closeups, arty shots for no reason. It’s actually an irritating experience. I only watched it with my wife as she was into it. But at the end she regretted it too. A waste of everyone’s time.
