1) animation was fantastic. 2) characters were great. 3) plot was interesting and fun. As someone who hasn’t read the books, and only seen the show, I thought it was brilliant. To me, it felt like a combination of game of thrones, Percy Jackson, and high fantasy, but for kids(??). Somehow, they made that work, and then did it amazingly well. I’m actually slightly jealous of the kids who get to have this as part of their childhood. The only thing I’m worried about is that Netflix won’t renew it for a second season; they tend to have a knack for cancelling good tv shows. Truly, it would be so sad to let a tv show like Wolf King go to waste because it wasn’t up some divine standard. Otherwise, great show, would highly recommend, and 100% should have a second season.

I mean, I love an antihero, so I’m not mad. Honestly though, best marvel film I’ve seen in years. It’s a bit silly, but entertaining, interesting, and not entirely full of wishy washy nonsense.

Likeable characters, interesting plot, generally just a well made and enjoyable movie.

- Sooooo dramatic - Always making a profound statement about something - The actual filming of it was good; it looked amazing - Line delivery was meh - They did Caracalla dirty! - The most likeable character was the villain (Macrinus) but that might just be Denzel Washington - Not a SINGLE mention of Septimus Severus! Admittedly, he might have been dead, but he’s still cool The premise of the film was very good, but if it had no connection to Gladiator it would’ve been better. I mean, come on, a tyrannical emperor, a civil war, warfare in general, gladiators, fighting for your freedom. These are brilliant ideas for a film set in Roman times! But having to mess with history and squeeze all of it in just to make a sequel is rubbish.
