Terrible. I read the book 40+ years ago and I loved it. So when I heard about the drama I was so looking forward to it. Unfortunately it’s rubbish. The basic story is there but they’ve strayed so far from the book making it more pc for today’s audience. I’m pretty sure Harry wasn’t disabled and Sam was the main man, here Mary seems to be the boss - and the daughter (who - in the book wasn’t born until after they made their fortune) is too mouthy. I agree with other comments that too much happened too soon and it’s all very cliched. Disappointing.
