This game is such a disappointment. I am not someone to usually complain about graphics and performance if a game, but Pokémon scarlet and violet take it a step further. Rather than just having sub par visuals, like in Sword and Shield, these games physically cannot handle themselves. Frame rates tank all the time, the camera constantly clips under the ground, and animations for things right in front of you look like a slide show. The only thing that’s keeping this from being a one star review is that the online multiplayer works surprisingly well when you invite friends into your world, for me at least, and the Pokémon designs are pretty cool, with Clodsire becoming one of my favorite Pokémon. However, these aren’t enough when compared to everything else, and for the first time, we have a genuinely bad Pokémon game in our hands. Truly a disappointment.
