Loved the art direction and costumes. This was a fun, light romp of a movie with lots of plot twists.
I normally find Noel Coward movies and plays to be full of old style actingโฆ donโt like them. Even though this movie kept faith with the slapstick, 1930s-style banter and script, somehow the aesthetic (look, acting, and music) seemed modern.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. And shocked at the bad reviews!
Fun is the best description. We laughed out loud.
