I’m glad I didn’t give up on Grand Crew after watching the 1st 3 or so episodes. I always can count on a LOL moment from this show – the writing and acting is spot on often hitting just right with l clever jokes and innuendo. It continued to get better and better and before I knew it I was in season 2. Great storylines, writing, acting and the sets and destinations around the LA area that they weave into to lives and experiences of the characters is refreshing. They drink a lot of wine to which they get intoxicated a bit too much for my taste which is kinda corny given their ages (they are well out of undergrad school), but I can overlook that and some hilarious scenes are a result of the intoxication so I give them a pass on that.
Different looks and styles of the all black cast and their extended associates, love-interests, family, and casual social circles that are featured in each episodes is also enjoyable to see. Black folks being black folks in their upper middle economic comfort zones is very relatable to me and my world (seeing the upper middle and upper class lifestyles in this show as a backdrop is such a BIG plus for me!).
Keep the laughs, new plots, new locations coming – I need to continue to have this show to watch at the end of my workday!!
