The Trident of Poseidon, also referred to as Poseidon's Trident and Neptune's trident, was the mythical weapon of a god, namely the sea god Poseidon. Poseidon's Trident was used to control the creatures of the sea, including the merfolk, as well as create thunderstorms and strong tidal waves. Near the end of young Jack Sparrow's adventures as a teenage stowaway, the Trident fell into the possession of the feared Captain Torrents. After Torrents' death, the Trident was given to a merman named Tonra. Many years later, the Trident was found hidden in Poseidon's Tomb, where it was destroyed in a quest by Jack Sparrow, Henry Turner and Carina Smyth.

Automatic Defense: Even if the opponent is faster than what Anos can physically react, his powers activate automatically to retaliate before any harm is done to him.[66][67] It's stated that it doesn't matter how fast the opponent is, Anos's ability will always successfully retaliate[68] (this includes beings who can move at the speed of light[69], entities that can move through time via physical speed alone[70][71], and even creatures that are beyond time and space altogether)[72][73]. Even when he was a baby, Anos still had his automatic defenses[74]. According to the Ultimate God, it's also impossible to change/manipulate Anos's past, as his ability retaliates anyone that tries to do so.[75] Subjective Threat Detection: Anos's power can subjectively recognize certain types of abilities as "a threat" even if they technically do not do any physical harm to him, such as mental attacks, automatically retaliating against the enemy before the ability even affects him[76][77]. Later in the series, Anos started to consider forced teleportation as an attack, thus automatically killing anyone that tries to teleport him against his will.[78]
