I am not sure what the movie was about. The storytelling is what makes a good movie. This movie had no real story to tell. All the subtext of survivors guilt, political dissatisfaction, complex human relationships in the backdrop of abject poverty, complex social structures was hardly a new idea for someone who has watched cinema evolve from 1980s to 2020s. Too many things slapped together laid bare the ambitious attempt to make a complex movie out of an over abused plot. There are a few good things in isolation, the graphics and realism is truly breathtaking, even though they failed to evoke a sense of awe when they show Godzilla walking on the land like a tired and frustrated geriatric. It was a complete waste of time and money for me.
