I was a volunteer rescue miner, responding to coal mine "problems" in northern West Virginia for four years. It was never pleasant - in fact it was downright terrifying most of the time.
However, I simply cannot imagine how unimaginably horrifying it must have been to pull this off so successfully!
Talk about heroic!!
