Take away the evil spirit and the movie is essentially Shameless: the Black Edition!! Honestly, I'm sad to see all the hate. The first 75% of the movie was a terrific ride with good acting, complex characters, a few "oh snap!" moments, and it explored some challenging family dynamics. The people who think Glenn Close's character was unrealistic, must not be from where I'm from, because babyyy, the ladies are out here thriving! Yes, the ending got a little corny, but let's be real, ALL horror film endings are dumb.
