Emma was unrefined, no coquettish cleverness as Gwyneth Paltrow had. Frankly, she was sort of snotty and insolent. Mr. Knightly was not even close to the fabulous GP version. The other characters were ok but again, no depth, nothing clever, nothing outstanding. The movie just brushed over some points without any grandness. It was boring and really quite sad.
