I am disgusted with the harsh line of questioning in this morning’s Meet The Press by Kristen Welker. We finally get to hear from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after 6 months of MAGA republicans obstructing the defense of democracy in Ukraine, endangering Democracy worldwide, causing so much lost ground in the defense against Putin’s invasion, and the anchor is grilling him about why america should keep funding Ukraine’s war (as if it’s Ukraine’s problem only) and why American should support an “endless war” and what his timeline is for victory. That line of questioning panders to the MAGA false narratives instead of explaining that Ukraine is the sole line of defense , fighting for all of Europe, NATO countries, including AMERICA and all democracies. Such a missed opportunity to dowse the false narratives and pro Putin MAGA propaganda, and focus on the truth of what has transpired. Putin’s continued efforts to divide and conquer democracy, including America. Of course the funding and support will have to continue as long as it takes to defeat Russia! They may have succeeded by now if not for the withheld support. This incendiary line of questioning just fans the flames of doubt and division. This pro Putin MAGA effort to delay aid has not just cost Ukraine suffer losses of lives , military set backs, for ALL Democracy, but has given our enemies worldwide the confidence to challenge America, including Iran & China. I used to love Meet The Press and watched it faithfully, but this new anchor is literally that .. an anchor dragging down the program. Not just this episode, this was just the last straw. Please get a new anchor that won’t Pander to the anti American MAGA mentality line of questioning our allies.
