It's a movie. It's comedy.
Although, it carries some messages about faith, the depiction of events during Christ earthly sojourn may cause certain group of believers to condemn the movie, and maybe give the producers a "dirty" slap like John did to Clarence during baptism. The word "blasphemy" may also accompany the slap.
However, if you enjoy comedy at the expense of what some might term blasphemous, this movie is right for you.
