The first half of a creature film is almost always better than the reveal. This one started of strong, but somehow didn't carry the dread and horror out to the very end. Man vs. Nature can be scarier than man vs. myth. Still very watchable, especially if you've ever camped in the woods with friends. Performances were strong, scenery was beautifully shot, and the music hit the right notes for this genre.

Right wing talking points and a ham handed discourse on religion by the same people who brought you "God's Not Dead". It's as if they had no access to actual psychiatrists, atheists, or people suffering mental illness.
