Another absolutely horrendous game produced by EA. The gameplay feels more scripted than ever. Franchise mode is yet again neglected because EA doesn’t want you to play that mode. They continue to spend all of their time on the micro transactions of MUT. The gameplay is clunky and terrible overall because EA doesn’t spend time refining gameplay, they’d rather pump another madden out and collect their micro transactions from MUT. I play on next Gen and you can literally see the game cycle through animations as you are about to go to make a tackle. It looks absolutely horrific. AI QBs are basically perfect. They regularly complete 90% of their passes and are basically unstoppable if the game decides they are going to score a td on the current drive. Offensive line blocking is completely broken and you have no time to throw at all even if you max protect. Run blocking is no better with some of the dumbest blocking logic I’ve ever seen in a madden game. And madden’s aggressive catching this year is laughably bad. If the AI throws a jump ball, it doesn’t matter if you click on to the nearest defender or not, you will be mossed. The AI wide receiver will go up with what looks like a 60 inch vertical while you click on to your nearest CB and jump about 12 inches off the ground. I can’t say enough about how terrible this game is. Absolutely infuriating, and it won’t improve until people refuse to buy the same garbage every year.
