"Gods of Egypt" fantasizes ancient Egypt to the point where it feels less like it's set in ancient Egypt and more like some fantasy setting inspired by ancient Egypt. I love ancient Egyptian history. It was one of my favorite things to learn about when I was younger. But this movie doesn't represent Egypt accurately whatsoever. And the acting, dialogue, and effects are... laugable to say the least. Don't get me wrong, this movie is bad. But I also think it might be so bad it's good. Not necessarily on the scale of "Troll 2" or "The Room", but still the writing, acting and effects are pretty laughable.
