Itโs not every day you get a show like Our Flag Means Death. Itโs rare for a romantic comedy to be both hilariously funny and beautifully romantic, and have fun action sequences too. Itโs really well written with fabulous performances, and the set design is brilliant. The show tells queer stories in such a deep and joyful light, champions the immensely important idea of found family, and rejects toxic masculinity, all set in the 18th century at the height of piracy in the Caribbean. It really is one of a kind.
