While we enjoyed Moana 2, it didn’t capture the same magical charm as the original. The first film was truly enchanting, with unforgettable songs that became a cherished part of my children’s childhood. Unfortunately, the sequel fell short in this regard. None of the songs were particularly memorable, and a couple felt unnecessarily long, disrupting the flow of the story. Additionally, the design of some characters, particularly the Bat lady, seemed overly exaggerated and unnecessarily sexualized, which felt out of place. The character animations, especially the lips, also looked oddly off, which was distracting. Overall, while it had its moments, Moana 2 lacked the magic and heart that made the first movie so special. It’s unlikely to leave the same lasting impression.
