Glorious waste of 2 hours !
(1) They tried to make the movie all about “women being the stronger sex” but it looks like the scriptwriters never quite got the memo because the mothers (of both Suriya and the leading lady) were both portrayed to be overly dumb.
(2) Painfully long fighting sequence which I fast-forwarded through because WHO TF WOULD WANT TO SIT THROUGH GRAPHIC MURDERS. Get to the point without dragging out the violent bits.
(3) So many songs and oftentimes V. CRINGE TOO.
(4) Suriya is apparently great at science but didn’t know how to present electronic evidence in the Court, with enough details that link it directly to the culprit.
(5) Great chance to have altered the audience’s perception of sexual assault and their attitude towards the victims. But they missed it entirely by making it all about “the man who saved their dignity”.
(6) MOB JUSTICE IS NEVER THE ANSWER. Like mentioned before, they had a good chance to change public’s perception and attitude. However they botched it by pandering to the demand for violence and toxic anger as the apt response for the issue at hand.
All in all, wasted a great opportunity to make an impactful movie. Watch it if you’re into the regular “I’m a man and I beat people up” stuff.
