My husband and I were extremely disappointed. We love Viking history and of course, mythology. It was very cinematic, I fully admit. The story however, was too disjointed and the dream like sequences felt thrown in...unlike a film like Gladiator where such scenes flow and interweave into the story. It was too long and although aesthetically pleasing, it had no substance. Like eating candyfloss - it looks good, seems ok for a while but leaves you unsatisfied.
