As a midwife, I was excited to read this book. It was dropped off at my house along with snacks, fuzzy socks, and a candle by a sister midwife when I had COVID in the fall of 2020. I was isolated, so bored, and so sick.
This book was huge disappointment. HUGE. The story line made no sense as it rambled all over the place. The midwife's relationship with the physician in the story didn't track at all. There were no murders.
I actually reread it a year later because I thought maybe my COVID brain had me mixed up, but no, it honestly is just a poorly executed mess.
