The series does not deserve a one-star review, but it most definitely does not deserve a five or four star review. The Source material is a classic, but it would be difficult for anyone to take this on, modernize it and make a TV series, miniseries or movie out of it. My main issue with this iteration, the cast was wasted and I felt that the direction for this incredible group of actors, well... Was lacking. as mentioned, I think that one star review is a little too harsh and I give this 3 stars. Not great, but not the worst. I'm going to watch the original mini-series now.
