Objective Truth

Apparently, I am in the minority with my thoughts on this movie. My wife and I really tried to enjoy it, but we found the characters dull and unappealing, especially compared to the original Mary Poppins movie. I wish Emily Blunt would have played herself more in this movie, with a little more humour and casual sassiness. The father looked like a 20 year old with a fake mustache pretending to be older. The lamplighter, Jack, was boring. Meryl Streeps character was too odd and overacted. We did not love any of the songs. They were just OK. Sorry. It could've been so much better.
