Now nearly 60 years since I first saw it, can honestly say It stands the test of time. Being nearly 4 hrs long would today guarantee it a 2 or 3 part version. And that would lose the epic impact of the acting, cinematography, and story itself.
A masterpiece it still is and will always be.
