Horrendous storyline, coupled with exceptionally bad directorial effort, ruins this otherwise okayish effort to capitalise on national pride during a period of tensions with our neighbour, China.
So many flaws... I'm not even sure where to begin. While the war of 1962 is based on true history, the 'battle' itself is entirely fictional. 3000 Chinese soldiers are shown to have been supposedly killed by 125 Indians, while offricially, only around 700 Chinese soldiers died in the entire month-long conflict of '62.
This is so absurdly ridiculous, that even the in-series characters are shown to doubt this claim during an official interrogation.
Plus, unnecessary characters have been added to make this seem like a cocktail of family drama, romance, caste-related tensions, village life, comedy and so much more.
One of the worst and greediest attempts to capitalise on people's sentiment.
