It was fun for the first 20 minutes, but after that, they started to present questionable information as fact and made me doubt everything the doc was stating. It started out as a great informational movie about fungi! And then it devolved into ‘I saw god while tripping on shrooms.’ It was very much about the experiences of the people featured in the doc and not about fungi. I really just wanted to know how fungi work. I didn’t want an hour of magic mushroom propaganda. Also, as previously stated, they KEPT presenting flimsy information as stone-cold truth. It wasn’t great educationally— there was no nuance, no “this is only a theory.” I guess it’s a great movie for someone who saw god while tripping balls, but not for people who just want to learn about fungus.
