If your an MK fan this is a must watch. Its understandable that these tight critics bash the movie so hard because afterall, video game inspired movies have a reputation for falling short. I gave it a 5 star simply because my childhood consisted of learning the moves and fatalities and unlocking characters in the MK video games. The backstories are near non existent so its either confusing or uninteresting for people who havent dived into the video game. There are easter eggs and references that only are noticed by fans.
