I had read the books last year and was excited for it to come out. My friend, who had read the book and wasn't a fan watched with me. We only got about half an hour in before we had to turn it off because it hurt to watch. My siblings who didn't read the books watched with us and when we asked them about what they thought of it from a non-fan point of view. They replied that it was confusing and not well-paced. All in all this adaptation was a disappointment along with the adaptation of Percy Jackson and Eragon. If you are going to make an adaptation please, please, please, stay true to the plot and the characters.
