People love to find reasons to complain. I guess this film didn't check all the "PC Boxes" due to the history surrounding the circumstances, but that's not the point of this movie at all. If you're a father of young men, this movie will get your heart pumping for your sons the way it did when you first held them. It was an incredible movie.

The whole world needs to watch this movie...so many people have forgotten the impact of communism and dictatorships and need a healthy reminder. This movie will humble you in a way few stories can.

The reviews are hilarious...not as funny as the movie though. Lol what the hell were people looking to find here? The Shawshank Redemption? It's a really funny movie guys, but no, unfortunately it will not change your life and send you off on some new profound journey like so many in the reviews thought it would.

The disconnect between critics and people is evident in regards to this movie. This is a great movie. You can watch it with your kids and still get a good laugh. Super low stress too.

Really cool concept, entertaining, but not well executed. The story was interesting, but the way the story was told was weak. . If you can't find anything else to watch, then it's good enough to kill time with. However, if you've got your option down between this movie and another - probably go with the other.

It's a classic 80s movie that makes me wish I had grown up back then. Casting people well into their 20s to play 18 year olds is hilarious, but they still do it now....its not perfect, but it's perfectly 80s and I loved it. I absolutely loved it. No social media. No woke nonsense. No political messege. Just free teens learning who they are and making mistakes as they go.

A lot of people are completely whiffing on the lessons to be learned in this movie. Part of that is becuase it's been pumped with tasteless pop culture from the early 2000s and filled with sex that distracts you if you don't pay attention...but, that culture and perversion helps tell the story. I won't spoil anything, even after 20 years, but the reason you should watch this movie is because it shows just how real and horrendous the disconnect with teens and parents can be. Maybe it's not intentional, but this movie truly does a great job of showing just how important leadership is for teens and how quickly they can fall off the rails if that foundation isn't there. You find yourself wanting to scream at the parents to wake up and in turn notice mistakes you might be making. Now, this is by no means a 5 star movie like my rating suggests. However, the emotional grab and real life lessons make this a must see...Its intense, but but a must watch for parents.

A lot of people did not understand this movie and for that I'm glad. It's weird thing to say, but if it makes no sense, I'm happy for you. It was almost too much for me. The fight to remain in reality and to genuinely want to be the best you can be while hurting those around you is a hard picture to paint and they did a great job. This is honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen.

This is a very unique war movie. It's almost got a feminine feel. It's extrememly emotional and lacks the testosterone of a movie like Jarhead, yet it still has a lot of intense scenes. It really reflects the fact that so many of our WW2 fighters never wanted to be fighters. A lot of these guys did not volunteer and were not cut out to fight. They were terrified, but kept going. It's an extremely realistic movie and I love it for that. The acting and cinematography is great. However the directing is sub par. It's a great watch, but I say this, if you don't like it from the get go, then you won't like it all.

Does it have the same vibe as the old ones? No. I can see why people who grew up on the originals might not "get" this movie...but that doesn't change thr fact that this is one of tue funniest movies of the decade.
