I was very excited to read this book as a naturalist who spends a great deal of time in the woods with a keen sense of quiet observation. I was sorely disappointed. I found this book to be pointless, an exercise in bizarre, endless descriptions of things amounting to nothing. This emperor really has no clothes. Skip at all costs!
