This movie was made by taking the original lion king and stripping it of its emotion. The character animation is awful, I can't tell what the characters are feeling by looking at them, and it makes it even harder to do so when the voice acting is god awful. They got some actual voice talents but somehow they speak with little emotion. And the dialogue is so clunky, characters have the weirdest exchanges. All the landscapes, with the exception of the jungle, look dry and barren, and the pridelands under Scar's rule hardly different from when they were under Mufasa's rule. The only real difference is that the sky is darker and the trees have lost their leaves. And the lighting isn't great either, and it really takes away from some scenes. For example, the Outlands look way less intimating in this movie compared to how they looked in the original. In the original, the lighting was dark and dimm, with geysers giving of green and red light. And you can tell its dangerous because of the change in lighting from the bright happy colors of I Just Can't Wait to be King, to the Outlands. In the remake the lighting doesn't change at all making the Outlands way less intimidating and they look like just and even uglier part of the savannah. I could say so much more about this movie but I'm tired.
