The last episode was a huge disappointment and so uncharacteristic of the entire series. Bash was one of the main characters and was obviously written as someone the audience would grow to love. Why write him off so abruptly? Albeit fictional, he was the main character with supernatural power and the only one the writers could have uses to give Mary comfort at the end, even if only showing his spirit. The show was ruined by the abrupt end and lack of "closure for the audience to know the fate others other main characters suffered.
