Absolutely phenomenal in every way. The cinematography is breathtaking, the storyline generates nearly constant suspense, and the concept itself- taking a piece of classic literature and putting a horrific spin on it- is fascinating, and this film executed it perfectly.

I don't understand all of the hype around this movie. The musical numbers were forgettable, the storyline was cliché, and the acting was subpar. As a huge fan of musicals, I thought this was utter trash. You'd probably enjoy it if you like unimaginative vanilla movies with boring characters.

Shallow, cliché, unimaginative trash. The main character lives in a fictional country and her name is "America." Really? Couldn't think of a name yourself? Not to mention the fact that these books are simply a bunch of young women, girls, really, competing to impress a prince. Nice one, this'll really teach the thirteen-year-old girls reading this that as a female, their only goal in life should be to impress a man. I really think that what we should advertise to audiences composed primarily of young girls should be enforcing female autonomy and independence, rather than stories with brainless female leads only interested in sex and shiny objects.
