Ron Kennedy

I could comment about realism in this film if I had been an astronaut. If riding a rocket into space is chaos, then this film is realistic and one wonders how anyone could make life or death decisions while being flung in all 10 directions at the same time. Neil is portrayed as having a rich inner life masked by a detached personality — the Cool Hand Luke of space. Naturally there is some embellishment, even adding events I cannot authenticate as having happened. Worth seeing, especially for those not around in ‘69.
