Where to start; we’ll, for one, it desperately made me want to talk to my father (died in 1970) who was a member of AEC; wrote the speeches for Walker Custer, CEO of Detroit Edison and did all the PR for Enrico Fermi. He was not a happy man and blamed Truman for dropping the bomb.
The film is brilliant, it’s performances, cinematography writing, editing. A shoe-in to sweep the Oscar’s. Robert Downey is brilliant as the turn-coat. Self serving Sen, Straws who goes after a surprisingly naive, complex Oppenheimer. Emily Blunt was terrific. But the crown goes to Cullian Murphy. I had never heard of him before, but I will be following his career now.
