I loved the first book in this series ,The Way of Kings. This installment however was SUCH a disappointment. The author rambled on and on caught up in the machinations of the most trivial nature, not even representative of the story and storyline. I felt like he thought he was being paid by the word!! I felt like I was caught up in a thesis for a psychology class much of the time. The storyline moved ponderously forward with just enough action now and then to give you hope that FINALLY the story was going to actually GO somewhere. It’s a good read if you want to fall asleep. I probably skipped more than half of the pages in the book to just GET Finished!! Waste of money. Waste of time. His book Skyward, however has redeemed him!
