Basically what separated BF from it's competitors is now gone. You used to be able to play battlefield for detail, and immersion. It's not any better than an arcade shooter. The detail and immersion that BF held at a prowess is now gone. Titles from years ago fall superior to what was given with 2042. Only 7 maps, and lackluster specialist/weapon customization. With the lack of content I'd rather play Vanguard. Map design had so much potential, unfortunately all maps are extremely open, bare, and objectless. It's as if the developers set the layouts of the maps, but didn't care enough to fill them in. The game just feels completely unfinished, not even mentioning the bugs. It's as what was given with 2042 is just a mere shell of its potential. Please don't buy this game, it's just a waste of money. It's devastating as to what this franchise has become, I honestly don't see it getting any better from here-out.
