Personally, I feel this game wasted a lot of potential. The story itself does not make much sense and the same with the characters. For example, in previous games, the evil team such as team rocket and team flare would have a goal of something malicious such as reviving a demon pokemon or taking over the world. In this game, Team Yell, is a fan group... Another thing that was pretty disappointing about this game was the post-game. The wild area might seem like an ingenious thing but its pretty boring after while. In the previous game, (Ultra sun and moon) the post-game was fantastic. There was mantine surfing, ultra wormholes and discovering new legendaries. the battle tree, capturing the island guardians, battling the kanto champions and the ghost school side story line. There was also the aether foundation arc which was sick. There was a lot more as well. You could even customise your character and people act as if this is a new feature in pokemon sword and shield. If you want more boring story and to catch more pokemon, you have to pay 30 pounds which is ridiculous. This game still has a lot of glitches as well! It doesnt even have mega evolutions which is probably one of the best features of pokemon. Now they introduced dynamax and gigantamax which is cool but what about mega evolution... The rival hop is also basically a reskin of Hau If you are looking to spend money on this game, i suggest not to. Either wait for the next pokemon games or spend it on another Nintendo game
