Regardless of whether you have seen the animated version of Milan, this movie leaves much to be desired. It has a rushed back story, terrible character development, and completely replaces the message that women can be strong and smart with one that requires them to basically have super powers in order to stand out. Milan did not have to learn anything because that would mean she wasnt already perfect. She didnt have to struggle because it would mean she wasnt already strong. She didnt have to be discovered as a woman because that would mean she was ashamed of her feminity. She reveals her womanhood. The enemy isnt really an enemy...she is a miaunderstood woman, cast aside by a sexist culture. Sure she has killed many, but its societys fault. This movie teaches no good lessons, shows no girls what true strength is, and spits in the face of its own legacy.
