This is tough because this game had so much potential. The pros - 1) I liked the characters as it was a fresh take on the story. 2) it's set in the 80's with awesome lighting, music and designs. 3) It has a mini map to track enemy movements for stealth. 4) The scenery is incredible as you explore different areas. 5) customization of weapons/armor etc. was a nice edition.
Cons - 1) If you are a singleplayer type person not being able to pause the game will get old real fast. 2) You have all this new technology yet stealth seems to be harder than the previous games as enemies have super sonic hearing at times. 3) You have to grind or pay to unlock and progress faster. 4) Some of the levels seem copy and paste with the three towers as an example. There's also no feeling of progression with the narrative after a while. For example I completed one of the towers at a low level (I ran around the boss) and the mission was completed, but as I was exiting to head back to base the opening dialog started up again with "you have to make it to the roof" like what?! 5) You can explore some areas of the game but it still feels like you are on a track from A to B.
6) To me this the most important point of them all (SPOILERS)... This game just lacks soul in comparison to the previous games. The previous games you would have a lot of unexpected, quirky things happen like being tested by Nazis on how "pure" you are. You encounter Hitler at one point randomly, you dress as a firefighter to get through a occupied town, fly through space, funny/sad events would happen at the home base. You would make mistakes at times like get captured or fall through a floor or this and that would happen. The main character was flawed and had a lot of emotional trauma to unravel and conquer yet was still sharp when getting the mission done... This list goes on.
Young Blood seems to lack all of that emotional investment and soul. They get over their dad being missing as fast as they go from amateur to super soldiers. At one point in the game the areas start to blend together and becomes a grind. It starts to lack story or character and you are just running through a list of chores basically.
