I found this film confused, shambolic and generally badly done. There were, however, some brilliant pieces of acting, Hugh Laurie was inspired and Tilda Swinton absolutely perfect. I love Dev Patel and fully expected to love him in this but I was not convinced by him. Other casting choices were illogical and distracting. A small point - Mr Micawber did not, even once, bless us with his financial philosophy, that's just perverse and, to me, sums up a lot about this film.
